The Original Wolfie’s Delicatessen returns with a new Broadway flair. As you approach our Broadway Theater façade, you’ll think you’re about to enjoy a Broadway show but, as you enter, you’ll realize YOU are the star!

You’ll enjoy an assortment of breakfast items, sandwiches filled with specially cured brisket, corned beef and pastrami, roasted turkey and handmade chopped liver. Choose from a wide variety of salads, soups (including our popular chicken matzo ball soup), smoked fish, hearty hot plates, potato latkes, and home baked goods, such as bagels, breads, black & white cookies, babka, rugelach and, of course, NY cheesecake. Pair with a Dr. Brown’s soda, beer, wine, mixed drinks, cappuccino, espresso, latte, coffee or tea. How about a Brooklyn egg cream!

There are plenty of vegetarian options for the particularly health conscious.

Wolfie's is definitely kid-friendly, with options especially appealing to the youngest diners.

Sit down for a meal with family, grab a bite with friends, or order items to-go. We're open seven days a week for lunch and dinner! See our store hours below as well as our Happy Hour, which you can enjoy at our bar, Wolfie Cohen's Rascal House.

If you're a do-it-yourselfer in the kitchen, you'll be able to buy a pound of this or a pint of that. Freshly prepared hot foods can be packaged for take home merely to be heated, plated, and put on your own table.

Hosting an event? The Original Wolfie’s offers an expansive catering menu featuring many of our favorite deli items, such as lox and bagels platters, cold cuts, and deli sandwiches.

Meyer Lansky

Notorious mobster and gambling kingpin Meyer Lansky frequented the famed Rascal House in Miami Beach. He regularly dined there with his family and right-hand man, Hymie Lazar. Lansky’s son, Buddy, married a Rascal House waitress. Lansky was known to have successfully joined together the major organized crime families into what became known as the "National Crime Syndicate." The role of Hyman Roth in THE GODFATHER, PART 2, was based on Meyer Lansky.

Meyer Lansky is a legend and, now, part of his legacy—photographs, handwritten letters and personal effects—is on display at the Rascal House in Sarasota. If ever there was a Rascal, Lansky was it!

Once prominently located on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, the Original Wolfie’s Delicatessen was a celebrity favorite.  Using the finest ingredients, the Original Wolfie’s brings back the most renowned items prepared at its restaurant and from its sister eateries in Miami, Wolfie Cohen’s Rascal House, Pumpernik's, and Thal Bros. Epicure Market, in addition to Southern California’s Jerry’s Famous Deli.

From the 1970’s until the restaurant’s closing in 2001, when the property was sold to a developer, Wolfie’s was featured in film and on television. The '80’s/'90’s sitcom, THE GOLDEN GIRLS, starring Betty White and Bea Arthur, often referenced the characters eating at Wolfie’s. Wolfie’s was also seen on the TV show, MIAMI VICE with Don Johnson. It prominently appeared in the movie, THE CREW, headlining Richard Dreyfuss and Burt Reynolds. Notables from different walks of life frequented Wolfie’s, such as the sports world’s Mohammad Ali and Deion Sanders, entertainment stars Jackie Gleason and Liza Minnelli, and mob boss Meyer Lansky.

"Don’t let Lemon and Pineapple Avenues fool you. As New York-style Jewish delis pop up around Sarasota, the city is starting to feel more like the Big Apple than a tropical town. The newest addition is The Original Wolfie’s Delicatessen and Rascal House, opening at the beginning of November in the Rosemary District."

"I've enjoyed some of my favorite corned beef as well as pastrami sandwiches, matzo ball soup, and cheesecake prepared by Shenker in the past. In addition to the food menu, which Wolfie's recently premiered on Instagram, there will be the Rascal House's full-bar with cocktails and wine by the glass, as well as live entertainment including local musicians 'and a popular attraction coming that most New Yorkers will know'"

"Growing up, Jason Starkman always spent his time in a restaurant. His father, Isaac Starkman, founded Jerry’s Famous Deli in California. By 10 years old, Jason Starkman was cleaning out deli cases and bussing tables. He spent every moment he could at the restaurant.

By the time he was a junior in high school, Starkman was managing one of his father’s delis.

Starkman watched as his father built an empire worth millions and a menu that included more than 450 items.

Starkman never looked back. He stayed with the family business and they grew it together, going on to acquire Wolfie Cohen's Rascal House in the mid-1990s. In 2013, the family purchased Wolfie's name and brand."
